Psychotherapy is a goal-oriented approach to treating mental illness. Psychotherapy can promote personal development and holistic health and overcome mental stress and crises.

In psychotherapy, thought and action patterns are explored. Your insights can be used to find ways out of seemingly hopeless life situations or to support you in phases of development and upheaval.

In addition, psychotherapeutic self-awareness makes it possible to get to know oneself and one's own role and relationship designs better, even without having a diagnosis of illness.

Children and young people

Children's language is play. It offers the opportunity for expression, but also for discussion and development. In this way, the psychotherapeutic interaction also succeeds through games and plays. Change is made possible through the “healing power of play”.

In the case of adolescents, too, the psychotherapy process is adapted to their age and development. Through appropriate further training and my practical work, I have made working with male adolescents a special focus of my work.

P&D: Psychotherapy and Dragons

Role-playing games have been increasingly used in therapeutic settings in recent years (so-called "therapeutically applied role-playing games" or "TA-RPGs").

Based on these ideas and some further training, I have developed a concept for the psychodrama-therapeutic use of such role-playing games - specifically Dungeons & Dragons - for adolescents and young adults ("P&D").

As part of a group of adventurers, the participants experience stories that they can create themselves. The confrontation with the group and one's own character supports and promotes beyond the limits of the game in their real lives.
